Friendly efficient and amazingly helpful staff in all circumstances!!
The location perfect and magnificent to the coffee shop where you get a voucher for breakfast. Also - very close to local shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and the conference centre.

Generally clean unit with a chic decor. Amazing location close to shops and cafes, amazing services and exceptionally comfortable bed. Close to transport to-and-from the winery, Flinders and iconic jetty/pier, and the associated restaurant nearby.

Its new!
It's a typical overpriced Australian Hotel with average service. While the breakfast was included, paying $4 for a coffee is a bit rich! It also said there was free wifi available. Not in my room.

The hotel is well-designed and located in a charming original-style building. the staff, including the manager, were incredibly helpful. the room was a nice size and included amenities like an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and glassware. the continental breakfast boasted plenty of delicious options.

The big bathroom, Aveda products, comfy beds and feather pillows. The decor is very tasteful and the room is quiet during off-peak times. Reception desk was helpful with our late dinner arrangements. Ramps make for easy access for the elderly and disabled.
The outlook from our room was directly onto the carpark and Peninsula Restaurant. For privacy the drapes had to be drawn. Not all rooms are positioned this way. They could however solve this issue with some screening or planting mature native trees out front.

Comfortable room .
Room rate was too expensive. The Continental Breakfast was adequate but not good value. Had to get own Coffee and cost of a cooked breakfast was not included in the Room Rate. We paid $325.00 for the room and although it was comfortable it was not good value. Would not book this Hotel again.

They put two single beds together and call it a king bed. Sorry but that doesn't it when paying over $300 per night

We both travel a lot for business, so we were very interested in comparing this hotel with ones we stay in for work. Great staff at reception, they were very helpful, friendly and also went the extra mile to change our room to one that had a better outlook. Nice linen, comfortable bed. Both restaurants are great. High quality tableware and fittings, well trained restaurant staff, beautiful food. Breakfast was very high quality ( fresh fruit, bircher muesli) and beautifully presented. Fresh scented roses on each table!
Somewhat sterile feel for a seaside location I.e could have been in the cbd of a major city. Walls are thin - we heard the conversations in the hall and from several rooms near us at times. The rooms that were advertised with patios are not worth paying an extra $20 per night for. The 'patios' are a small slab of pavers outside each room, with no privacy at all. In our original room, the 'patio' was beside the large car park, and there were no chairs ( not that you would want to sit there).
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
